Being Psychic

I work as a computer tech by day and a psychic by night. This is a very odd combination since one is left brain oriented and the other is right.

Most of my friends are not aware of my night job. My logical sense keeps me from scaring them away. I dont speak about it to anyone at work, and I keep my intuitive ideas and thoughts to myself no matter how much I want to blurt out the solution to their problem.

How did I get into readings? Well its a long and short story, but heartache drove me to call a reader who not only helped mend my broken heart, but urged me to see my true potential. You cant run from destiny, it has a way of finding you regardless of how much you stray from the path.

When I go into work and fix a computer there is no excitement with the result, but when I help someone I cant help but feel so ecstatic and happy with life afterwards. Its made me realize that your career should always make you feel good about who you are and what youve done and there is no better feeling than that.

I still have my day job for now, and until I can manifest enough money to leave my day job comfortably I will not be completely switching careers but will accept donations LOL

Manifesting what you want - YOU CAN!

I recently started thinking I could manifest the money I wanted. I had debt and it was approx $20 000.
I decided on top of my regular income I would start making some random casino visits. I would picture my credit line being 14,000 instead of $15,000 and I would win $1000. I started picturing different amounts and then receiving them. I was actually able to pay off 15,000 in 2 months with this method and have a surplus of money in my bank account.
It wasnt long until the fear sank in. I started worrying I was going to lose it, and I had so much anxiety. I should have known better then to go back while I was full of this feeling because I lost it all + more in a matter of weeks.

Since then I have unplugged and decided to reformat the way I feel about money. I realize that as long as I believe I dont deserve to have it, I wont.

I think a lot of us have limitations on the amount of money we can have. Maybe it came from things we overheard from our parents when we were little, or things our friends and teachers have taught us over the years. I just am not sure what is causing this block that I have causing me to doubt that I can be rich and happy at the same time.

On an interesting note, I did find some really cool astrology program called lucky days Luckydays.tv that is completely free to try, and $60 or so to buy. I tried it and at first and I was very impressed how the lucky days in July matched some of my bigger wins & then I bought it. Its not only good for lucky days but also great for astrological aspects in your own natal chart. Going forward, I am too nervous to go back to the casino, but I have noticed the lucky days I have are full of optimism and happy excited feelings. Perhaps thats where the true power is to manifest winning and lottery. Maybe the potential power is when you feel so ecstatic and happy from within.

Hypothyroid - PCOS - Insulin Resistance - Hormones ...Ah there is a link!

I just found this... after meeting with the Naturopath she mentioned I might be Iodine sensitive. I suggested that maybe the problem with my thyroid isnt coming from the thyroid. Maybe it is coming from the Pancreas (which came up during practice at one of my BodyTalk courses). She said it was possible and gave me another supplement to try. Ill post the details to that tomorrow. I came home and tried to find something which would go into more detail. I am definitely not the only one who has these ailments together. There are many of us.
Relationship between insulin secretion, and thyroid and ovary function.
Women with PCOS typically do not have an isolated problem of dysfunctional ovaries. Dysfunction of the insulin system and thyroid are also commonly involved.
An interesting study just released from the Universita degli Studi di Roma in Italy demonstrates this important point.
The study investigated the relationship between polycystic ovary syndrome, hypothyroidism and insulin-resistance and how, by submitting patients to a specific therapy for any one of the three pathologies, the researchers were able to also obtain an improvement in the other associated pathologies.
Forty-five patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, hypothyroidism and insulin-resistance were divided into 3 groups. The 15 Group A patients followed a diet therapy. The 15 patients of Group B received hormonal therapy. The 15 Group C patients received replacement therapy with levothyroxine (thyroid hormone).
Over time, and regardless of the specific therapy, all groups experienced an improvement in thyroid hormone levels. Their ovarian symptoms improved, and their LH (luteinizing hormone) and testosterone levels went down, and progesterone increased. The glucose-insulin levels also improved.
This study suggests that there are several alternative ways to improve your PCOS symptoms and increase fertility. But why rely on just one therapy, such as birth control pills? Why not use diet as a powerful therapy  Or take thyroid-supporting supplements or medications if your thyroid is underactive? Or consider insulin-senitizing therapies if you have insulin resistance? If a single therapy can be effective, a combination therapy can be even more effective.

Birth Control Detox Continued...

My sinuses aren’t as bad as they used to be! I’m fairly certain it’s the D-Calcium supplements mentioned before. I woke up this morning and could actually breath through my nose! So exciting! I guess this mixed with the Salba is working out well.
Once again, the Naturopath prescribed the D-Calcium Glucarate (brand and details in past post) to rip out excess estrogen. She suggested I pick up some Salba seeds as well to help pull the extra estrogen from the digestive track.
I am also on a Thyroid supplement consisting of Iodine and Selenium.

I haven’t mentioned Salba much, but it is completely worth mentioning. These are Chia Seeds (yes the ones you made Chia Pets out of). They are tasteless and almost completely fiber. I looked for more information on them and here are the key benefits:
·
15 x more magnesium than broccoli
·         7 x more vitamin C than oranges
·         6 x more calcium than milk
·         3 x more antioxidants than blueberries
·         3 x more iron than spinach
In addition, Chia seeds contain the highest levels of Omega 3 essential fatty acids of any plant, and is rich in fiber while being gluten-free.
I am only taking a tablespoon or two of Chia seeds. If you’re wondering why they are called Salba it is just because there are 2 colors. The white brand Salba is said to have more nutrients than the black Chia seeds.

As for the rest of how I am doing; I started having a LOT of anxiety. I called my naturopath and she told me it could be related to the Iodine. She told me to scale it down so I will keep an eye on how I feel tomorrow.
I guess sometimes it’s easy to think that all these ailments are separate from each other, but in the grand scheme of things, all organs, endocrines and body energies react and affect one another. I am almost certain once the hormones are balanced I will correct the insulin resistance, PCOS & Hypo Thyroid. Estrogen Dominance I believe is where it is all coming from.

Now to start my diet blog :)

Birth Control Detox - UltraMind Solution

I'm up early this morning. I think the Calcium D-Glucarate is helping. My nose isn't feeling as stuffy as it usually does when I wake up. I have a lot of energy today and am feeling pretty optimistic.

I should mention that last night I started reading the Ultra Mind book that my doctor recommended, you can find it here The UltraMind Solution: The Simple Way to Defeat Depression, Overcome Anxiety, and Sharpen Your Mind. Its a good book so far, focusing on balancing the way your brain works & fixing it. The ObGyn told me she has read this and it was a good book to read for my hormonal problems and the PCOS. She specifically mentioned another book for PCOS that I will post a link to when I find where I wrote it down :)

Grow Your Own Lemon Tree - I Did!

How to Sprout a Lemon Tree from Seed

If you have lemons around, chances are pretty good that you can sprout a tree from the seeds inside. Lemon trees tend to grow well indoors and outdoors in warm humid climates. They have fragrant blossoms and shiny dark green foliage.
What you will need:
  1. ·         Sunny location
  2. ·         Soil (Peat Moss)
  3. ·         Container (preferably with a lid to keep humidity in)
  4. ·         Lemons seeds

I have tried a few different methods to sprout the lemon seeds. One of the methods I found was unsuccessful was wrapping the seeds in paper towel which was kept damp until the seeds sprouted. The method that seemed to work best for me was peat moss or potting soil in a container which was kept warm and humid.

·         Remove the seeds from the lemon and rinse them right away to remove any of the acid that might hinder the seed from sprouting.

·         Do NOT let the seeds dry out completely, they must be kept moist at all times.
·         After removing the seed from the lemon you will notice it is white or an off white color. To maximize the chances of the seed sprouting you can remove the white husk protecting the seed.
·         To remove the husk, gently pat down and remove any excess water from the seeds that were rinsed. It’s best if they are not slippery when you try to remove the husk.

·         Use a paring knife or a similar knife to gently remove the white husk around the seed. Usually once the husk starts to come off you can use your fingernails to remove the rest. Be careful not to damage the seed underneath this layer. It will be brown in color.

·         Fill a small container with 1-2 inches of potting soil or peat moss. A clear and transparent container with a lid works best. I used an old Ferrero Rocher container since it is clear all the way around, had a lid and allowed maximum sunlight.

·         Place the lemon seeds about half an inch below the surface of the soil.

·         Add water and ensure the soil is evenly moist.

·         Place the container in a south facing window or the sunniest location you can.

·         Be patient! It may take 2-3 weeks before you see the seed sprout.

·         When the seeds sprout, remove the lid and ensure they continue to receive full sun exposure.
·         Transplant to a bigger container when the sprouts are about 2 inches high.

Other Tips:
Lemon trees love light. Keep them in Southern exposure and if that’s not possible, use a fluorescent light. They will require about 12 hours of light a day.
Lemon trees prefer slightly acidic all purpose soil mix.
Indoor growing will require manual pollination. When the tree blossoms, use a q-tip or your finger to gently rub the inside of each flower.

My Birth Control Detox Plan - Day 1

I started by refusing traditional medication and have looked for  the advice of a naturopath to bring my body back into order.
Since my rhinitis is caused by an excess of estrogen in my body she has given me Calcium D-Glucarate. Its this Thorne brand (you can find it here without a Naturopathic Thorne Research - Calcium D-Glucarate - 90's)

I did some research on Calcium D-Glucarate and have found the following:
"Calcium D-Glucarate includes the patented compound Glucarate which has been shown to enhance the major detoxification pathways in the body. Calcium D-Glucarate, the calcium salt of D-glucaric acid, is found naturally in the human body and in a variety of fruits and vegetables. Animal studies have shown that Calcium D-Glucarate inhibits B-glucuronidase, thereby enhancing the process of glucuronidation, in which foreign organic compounds, fat-soluble toxins and excess steroid hormones such as estrogen are detoxified and excreted from  our bodies"

Basically Calcium D-Glucarate is great for an estrogen detox. The condition many women have when they stop taking oral contraception is called Estrogen Dominance.

The Naturopath has also given me a supplement for my Thyroid that is a Iodine & Selenium blend.

I am to take 2 Thyroid capsules in the morning and 2 Calcium D-Glucarate in the evening. I was also asked to start taking psyillium husk to help ‘pull out’ the excess hormones from the body. I am not a big fan of psyillium so I think I will look for another alternative.

Looking forward to starting today and getting my endocrines & hormones back in balance naturally!

Birth Control Detox

I decided to discontinue my use of the popular birth control bill Yasmin (Yaz) back in May 2010. It is now April 2011, and although many things I have read say that birth control detox is not necessary after 6 months, I have had a totally different experience. It did not occur to me that many of the symptoms this past fall were related to going off the pill until a Google search on rhinitis took me on this wild adventure.

I have been on birth control pills for well over 10 years. I have gone on and off them as needed be and never had any noticeable side effects. My doctor convinced me to try Yasmin because it was healthier for me and I agreed with her. Within 2 months of taking this birth control pill I noticed I was gaining weight significantly. I attributed the weight gain to stress, life, change in diet etc. No less than one month after being on this pill I also noticed brown patches forming on my face like never before. It happened when I went in the sun. There was a distinct freckle moustache that was awkward and embarrassing. I used bio oil and it seemed to fade enough so I didn’t feel so out of place in public places. I also had lost my libido.

Throughout that summer I continued gaining weight. I still didn’t really understand why I was gaining weight and was still lacking any libido. This continued for months and then depression ensued.

The spring of 2010 was an unusually sunny one for a Northern climate like the one I live in. I took full advantage of any day light I could get. I was horrified to see that within 2 weeks of partial sun exposure my freckle moustache was back. Not only was the freckle moustache back, but a large brown patch on my forehead, two patches of brown under each eye and just enough white on the sides of each nose to make me look like a clown!

That is when I started looking for real answers. All answers I found led to estrogen and oral contraceptives. I spoke with my fiancé and we agreed it was in my best interest to discontinue the pill.

I stopped taking it just in the middle of May. I didn’t notice any significant changes then and I was optimistic the patches would go away soon. The patches didn’t go away at all, in fact they stayed for almost the entire summer. Within a few weeks I started t develop a stuffy dry nose, and gain weight more rapidly to when I started taking the pill. Within a month I went into a deeper depression and erratic mood swings. After months and months of research I started to find that all my symptoms related to the discontinuation of the pill.

There are many symptoms claimed, but here are some of the ones I found consistent with others who have gone off Yasmin:
-loss of libido
-hair loss
-weight gain
-rhinitis (pregnancy nose)
-discoloration in the face (freckles/brown patches)
-depression
-mood swings
-unable to conceive

I have been off the pill for just about a year now. Everything I have read states that 6 months should clear your system out.  It very well may clear out the excess chemicals, but it doesn’t always restore balance to your delicate hormonal system. I am determined to do this myself.

I recently found out that since going off the pill I have PCOS, Insulin Resistance & Hypothyroidism. I asked my doctor if this was caused from the birth control I was taking and she told me it is very likely. These are common ailments. It’s always funny when you hear these things after the fact but never in the sales pitch.

I know that there is always a natural way to restore your body back to normal and I intend to do this without big pharma.

I will update this blog frequently with my restoration plan, and my progress J
